Each month has different challenges I want to introduce 10 tips for a productive month.
Coming into 2021, I wanted to change certain aspects of my life and progress towards a productive month. I don’t want to look back and cry over what I didn’t do, but I want to look back and saw that I tried.
We know how life goes; we can’t always get things on the first try, and failing is part of life, but it also teaches you a lesson. Failing teaches you to start over again, as failing sometimes means that your idea isn’t ready to flourish.
I used to be like that as soon as something gets hard and I fail the first time, I just give up and move on. Or the worst thing I have ever done is having good ideas but being too scared to act on them, as the thought of money, time, and work will make me not want to do anything.
This post is about making productive decisions and putting yourself on a path of finding who you are. By doing this, it will make your goals attainable and achievable. This post is about finding what works for you and how to change your mindset to achieve your goals.
2021 is a year of realization and setting goals; it’s a year for you! Your journey begins now. If you haven’t yet, look at my New Year post, it’s about setting goals for the new year.
I want you to have a very productive year but first you have to start day at a time and then each month. I want to introduce 10 tips for a productive month:
Set goals
Each day you have to set goals as to what you want to achieve. This is the time to set small daily goals to help you achieve your main goal at the end of the year. It can be something different or continuing on something from the day before. Set goals that you want to achieve.
Wake up early
I love to work in the morning, but I don’t like getting out of bed early. I press the snooze button multiple times and go back to bed. Do not do this! When you train yourself to get up early, you set your mind and body to get a head start. The longer you stay in bed, the easier it is for you to do nothing; at the end of the day, you aim to achieve something and achieve nothing by staying in bed.
Plan your day
The first thing you should do is to plan out your day. Write out what you would like to happen and work on them one at a time. I find that when I plan my day, it’s an easy transition from one thing to the next. Each task is supposed to transition and flow from one thing to the next.
Establish a nighttime routine
I mean that if anything needs to be done for the morning, do it the night before. If you need to pack lunch, or change your handbag, do all these tasks the night before, making your morning easier. Establishing a good night routine will enable your morning to run smoother, that could mean going to bed earlier, meditating, doing everything the previous night and also having a good night sleep.
One of my goals last year was to read at least two books a month. Easy cheesy, well, that was the end of that. Not to say I didn’t read, I just didn’t read according to the goal I set, instead I read about four books for the entire year and majority I also spent editing my very own. I will say when I did read, I felt so accomplished and in a better place, reading more will open your mind and improve your mood. Set time aside to read, no matter how small, reading matters.
Eat clean
Ever since I reinvented my fitness life, nothing suits me more than cooking and eating clean. I see how essential it is to eat a clean, healthy meal. My workdays are long and sometimes I am unable to take breaks and eat as clean as I want. I take every chance I get to cook for myself and make sure it’s up to my health standard. Take care of you, health is so important.
Meditate
No matter what you believe in, it is always a good idea to take a break and meditate. Meditation is a way to calm the mind and body, when you meditate it enable you to stay in tune with yourself.
Drink water
Stay hydrated! Water is the essence of life and can make a difference to your health. It is beneficial to drink at least eight glasses of water per day.
Exercise
Like clean eating, exercise is really beneficial to your health. I have been on and off this fitness journey for years, but as of the past couple of months have been going and keeping at it. I will say that it’s not easy, however, you have to start somewhere, and not only that stick with it. Exercising doesn’t have to mean a full-on production but as simple as a walk or doing jump ropes. Start where you can and where you feel comfortable.
Do what is right for you
This one can be a long-term goal that can be completed at the end of the year. I will be the first to say that 2020 has though me to do what is best for me. What does that mean to you? Whether it be starting a blog and establish a career, whether it be switching careers, finishing a degree or starting a business. This is the time to be honest with yourself about what you want.
Just remember this is about you and being productive this year, don’t look back and say could have. Instead, look back and say I did!
