There are 7 beauty products to splurge on. Women love beauty and that means indulging in all things that beauty has to offer, but is it always worth the price? Yes and no. The most exciting thing about beauty is the experiment, you have the capability to see what works for you. This is where the money comes into play, and sometimes commercial products just don’t cut it.
The wonderful thing is versatility and seeing how you feel. One thing I will tell you is not to cut corners when it comes to finding the best beauty products. With that in mind, this will require splurging a bit. I don’t mean breaking the bank but does require you to pony up on certain products.
In order to find the best beauty products it require research and this could mean reading reviews by non-paid users, but also getting samples from stores. Getting samples won’t give you a fair shot of the product but can get you a start, what I will say is that you can buy travel size as this will give you a feel of the product without the cost.
I have done the liberty of being the middle man and comprising a list of the 7 products you should splurge on:
#1 Foundation
One of my golden rules is to spend good money on a foundation. Before I got into beauty, I would use any old foundation on my skin. While I did like a couple, spending a little more on foundation did make a difference. One of my favorite foundations is by Givenchy, and I like it not only because it’s a designer but due to the good quality.
The longevity, formula, shade range, silky application just to name a few. It does have a steep price range and it’s true not all designer foundation is created equally, however, this one is worth the splurge. Test out as much as you can before you buy because you don’t want to end up with buyers remorse. You really want a good formula as you want your foundation to be smooth and not look blotchy.
This is worth the investment and worth it in the long run, you can also check out my post on the best luxury foundation.
#2 Moisturizer
I am guilty of this, I use to hate using moisturizer as I believed it would clog my pores. When I decided to add them to my routine, I would either use one that is just there (random) or just plain shea butter. Over time I realized they weren’t doing anything for my skin. In fact, the shea butter was actually drying out my skin, and the others were too oily.
I even tried making my own skincare products which also didn’t do anything for me. One thing I discovered is to ask for help, as a newbie you want to learn and get recommendations. This is the first step then based on those recommendations can see what works for you. Don’t be stingy when it comes to your face, a good moisturizer goes a long way and your skin will
#3 Eye cream
I never thought I would see the day this would happen but it did. Adding eye cream to your nightly routine is a wake-up call that you are getting older and you can’t do anything about it. It’s not the end of the world and you can do with what you have. I will say this you will notice a huge difference when you add this to your nightly routine.
As with moisturizers, ask for a recommendation and see what works for you, night creams are a little different. Unlike a moisturizer where you can tell within weeks to days if it will work, night cream takes a bit more time. Again, $30 is a good price to start, this is really important and you shouldn’t skim out on paying a good price. Your eyes will thank you.
#4 Bronzer
This might be a surprising one but you should splurge on a good bronzer. As someone who doesn’t like to contour or use eye shadow on a daily basis. Bronzer is an excellent way to bring dimension to the face and make it pop. Even though, not everyone will like the idea of splurging on bronzers this by far will be one of those purchases that will be worth it.
Next to a good foundation, bronzer is a must-have. Depending on the brands don’t go too crazy and spend a lot but certain brands such as Chanel, hourglass, Armani and many more are worth the splurge.
#5 Makeup brushes
This is important if not the makeup but the tools used to apply them. Wherever you are on your makeup journey, the first thing you will need is good brushes. There is nothing worse than doing your makeup and brush bristles getting stuck to your face. I use to be like that save a buck where I can but it cost you more money in the long run.
If you are someone who likes to do a full face it’s better to buy a set or if you do one or two things, then just buy what you need. A good brush will affect how your make looks (even if its all good products), word to the wise do it right the first time.
#6 Concealer
Like a good under eye cream, concealer is just as important as this will make your look that better. It’s extremely important to shop around and find what works for you as stated previously just because they are designer doesn’t mean they are high quality. What is important is how smooth, creamy, long-lasting and durable it is. This requires asking for recommendations and trying them for yourself, it makes a big difference in how you look.
#7 Blush
This isn’t a top priority but is essential when needed. Spending money on a good blush goes a long way, like a good bronzer this will make your look all that better. A good quality blush will not be too subtle when added to the cheeks will add the right hue of color. Cheaper blushes can work sometimes, but for formula and
This list by no means is extensive and is recommendations based on my personal use. When it comes to beauty there are certain products you should splurge on as they will serve better in the long run. This concludes the list of 7 beauty products to splurge on.
