It’s already 2020 and new year’s resolution has begun. 2020 IS THE YEAR OF CHANGE! There are 7 Lifestyle changes to make this year.
If you have already began your resolution that is fantastic but, how many of us actually stay on track. This isn’t to deter you from what you have already accomplished.
As someone who constantly tries to work on themselves year after and found some success, see how important it is to make lifestyle changes.
Each year you need to reevaluate your life and see what changes you need to make in order to make it better than the last.
THIS ISN’T EASY! AS SOMETIMES YOU TAKE ONE STEP FORWARD AND TEN BACK!
This isn’t a bad thing, and this means you need to figure out what you are doing wrong and fix it.
I have complied a list of 7 LIFETSYLE changes to make in 2020:
#1 Chasing your dreams
These three words sound like a line from a movie. HOWEVER, I MEAN EXACTLY WHAT I WROTE.
The past
It doesn’t matter what your goal is or dream is, chase it. Set attainable goals that can be broken down each day/ month/ year. 2020 is the year you realize what you want to accomplish and work toward it.
The worst thing you can live with is regret and trust me not going after your dreams will be the biggest one.
#2 Learn a new language
This has been my goal for the past couple of years. There is so much freedom when you can communicate with someone else of a different language.
Learning a different language has so much merit and benefit you in your everyday life as well as your career. Doing something out of your comfort zone will fuel the fire of you achieving anything.
#3 Learn a new skill
This should be one a goal for everyone and should be mandatory in schools. Skills are taking over the world and are extremely valuable.

These are important task that can save us money in the long run.
#4 Cook for yourself
To many losing weight is a goal for 2020. A major part of losing weight is what you put in your body. Losing weight is not only about exercise but also what you eat.
This year make it a mission to cook more for yourself as a treat more so than a chore. Cooking for yourself, you have control over what you eat and the portions/ serving size.
Cooking for yourself is one of the best ways to lose weight if that is your end goal, or if not a good way to learn how to cook.
#5 Invest/ Save
This by far is the biggest recommendation. 2020 is the year that we all should invest. Saving is important but so too is investing as this can double/ triple your earnings. Investing is a risk game and that’s what 2020 is about.
I suggest you start small by using an app such as stash or acorn. With these apps you are able to create a stock portfolio by putting a certain amount in investment per month/ week. However, you decide to invest is up to you.
Like investment saving is extremely important. You want to have a safety net for a rainy day. Start off with at least 10% of your pay-check if you can and then increase as you go.
#6 Journal
This one is extremely personal and really important. I had a journal where I would write down my thoughts and feelings every day. For me, this was therapeutic and helped me deal with my feelings.
Journaling is an excellent form of therapy and a way of better communication. This is an excellent want to cope with stress or any day to day interactions.
#7 Turn off Technology
We have our phones for everything and are glued to it. It’s a wonderful thing to stay connected and have easy access at your fingertips.
It’s also good to not need technology, sometimes it’s good to unwind and disconnect a little bit. What I realized is that technology can be so overbearing and create anxiety that never exist before.
Taking a break is ok, you will never realize how important this is until you do it.
Does this mean anything? Yes. Your life and health are important thus need to make these 7 Lifestyle changes in 2020. This year is about your success and that means making changes here and there to make it happen.
