How do you feel about disorganization? I am sure laying around your apartment are mismatch socks, one foot shoes or something else you cannot find. I get it living in an apartment can be tedious when it comes to organization as you have more mail coming in faster than you can shred them.
As part of a new series that I will be focusing on, which is living a minimalist lifestyle. I am here to tell you don’t stress, I have compiled 9 organization ideas for small spaces. This is good if you want some ideas or just to revamp the look and feel of your apartment.
1. Bathroom countertop
When it comes to the bathroom counter I can wholeheartedly say that mine was a mess. I am a huge beauty lover and as such all my products were all over the counter. That alone made the counter look disorganized and the bathroom smaller than it was, especially if you have a small bathroom to begin with.
Adding an organizer such as the one below can make such a difference and does add appeal to the bathroom, it is versatile enough to also be added to the kitchen. This is a good way to also store your makeup.
2. Make the best of any under counter space
You can utilize any space and under a counter, whether it be the bathroom or the kitchen. This is a great storage area especially if you have very limited space in your apartment, this is one of the best ways to stay organized.
The aim is to put things that doesn’t need to take up space such as cleaning supplies or toiletry. Utilizing kitchen and bathroom spaces also is a great way to add decor that will add so life to your apartment.

This is one of the best ways to utilize any space, adding shelves can add decor to the home frame. Shelves are a quick and easy way to add extra storage space, this is good for the bedroom or living room. For someone who has a lot of books, diploma or picture frames this the best way to make the most out of the space you do have.

When it comes to food is always the best idea to store them in jars or nay food container. This is the best way to utilize the space as the food is in the container and not scattered all over the place. It is better for you as you can see the products and is more likely to use them rather than have them go bad. Overall this will reduce cleaning time.
5. Clever shoe space
This is the easiest way to store your shoes. Not only does it save you time but takes up less space, invest in a good shoe hanger as it would cost less in the long run. This is the perfect time to sort out your shoes, as you can visualize what you wear and what needs to be thrown out, this is a good way to live a minimalist lifestyle.
6. Say ‘yes’ to the shelves
For any woman who know that handbags are a must. Storing said bags can be a problem especially if you live in a small space, the bags can end up on the floor or just all over the place. Storing them on shelves is a better way to keep track of your bags, while also utilizing the smaller space. It doesn’t have to be stored in your bedroom and instead can be a nice addition to the living room.
7. You can have all the spices
Having multiple spices can be a task when storing them, only because sometimes one might go missing. This will then make you buy one more, then you find that you have three of the same spices. How do you avoid this? Have a designated storage for spices, it would be nice if you do have a pantry and can store some food along with spices and other utensils.
8. The fridge does play a role
The fridge hands down can be one of the most disorganized things in the house. In order to utilize small fridge it’s always a good idea to organize it, this means putting food in containers. This is the best time to visualize what is in your fridge and how you can make use of the space you have.
9. Use baskets
A basket can do so much wonders and can be used for many different purpose. This is a good way to store large blankets or towels especially if you need so extra space, it is also a good idea to use square ones which can also be stored under the bed.
