As the New Year approaches, it’s time for us to reflect on 2020 and start over. No one could have predicted what 2020 would have in store for us, but we handled it and came through like champions for many of us.
We cannot ignore the fact that so many people have lost their lives or their livelihood. In no short form 2020, it was a year full of shit!!! There I said it, and I am not taking it back because I meant it!
Looking back at the many setbacks in the year, there were also many opportunities to self-reflect and analyze what you wanted your life to be. I did and saw much you can make good things out of a bad situation.
This year has taught me so much about myself:
- I am braver than I thought
- Don’t take anything for granted
- Live an honest and authentic life
- Follow your passions and not what others want
- Fight for what you believe in
Am sure you might be saying this is common sense. With a year like this am sure everyone, though, we have more time to get things done.
I am not here to complain about 2020, just the opposite to embrace it while looking forward to the new year. No one knows what will happen in 2021, it could be worse than in 2020, or things can get better.
Everyone is hoping for the latter!!
This post aims to encourage everyone to make 2021 the best year for themselves and others around them; this is the time to start a new, creating a plan for the new year.
With that in mind, plans can change, but when you have a sense of direction for where you want to go, it makes getting there easier. I want to encourage everyone to open their outlook this year and make resolutions that will benefit you this year.
Here are a few changes you can make this new year:
- Follow your dreams
- Create a plan for what you want to accomplish in 2021
- Start a business- preferably something online
- Start a blog
- Pick up a new hobby
- Enjoy the smaller things in life
- Save more money
- Don’t forget to treat yourself
- Spend time with your friends and family
- Take care of your self- (health, mind, and body)
- Eat healthily
- Exercise more- even just a 30 min walk
These are some of the small things you can do for yourself that will make 2021 a prosperous one. Again, we don’t know what the year has in store but being positive and having a favorable outcome is what we all hope for.
I hope this year is filled with blessings, well-wishes and abondance.
